One of Australia’s most visited cities, Sydney knows how to impress. With some of the best dining, events, shopping and parks Australia has to offer, it’s easy to see why it’s one of the world’s favourite cities.

Sydney Harbour

Famous for its spectacular harbour and stunning beaches, it would almost be a crime to not visit Sydney Harbour when there. Stand on the steps of the world-famous opera house and join a tour to learn more about its beautiful architecture and rich history. After posing for a few photos, head to the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Undertake the popular BridgeClimb and look over Sydney from the 134m high summit.

Bondi Beach

After an exhilarating high, take some time to relax and unwind at Bondi Beach. Lay on the white sands and soak up that warm Australian sun. Lay on the white sand of Australia’s most famous beach and splash in the sea, serious swimmers will enjoy the company of experienced competition in the Bondi Baths. Both the baths and the beach are patrolled by lifeguards throughout the day, be sure to stay in water that suits your abilities and always swim between the red and yellow flags.

The Rocks

Make your way to The Rocks along the Sydney Harbour. Known as the birthplace of modern Sydney, colonisers landed here in 1788, transforming the area into a British colony. Walk along the cobbled streets and sit down for a meal and a drink in some of Australia’s oldest pubs. Walk the winding alleyways and hidden streets to discover small market stalls and local galleries.

Mrs. Macquarie’s Chair

Head to Mrs. Macquarie’s Chair for stunning views of Sydney Harbour. This sandstone bench was carved out by convicts in 1810 as a present for Governor Macquarie’s wife who had fallen in love with the view from that area. The chair is situated within the Royal Botanic Gardens. Here you can see thousands of plant species from all over the globe in perfectly manicured garden beds. Take a picnic with you and sit down for a lunch surrounded by colour.

Kings Cross and Milsons Point

Kings Cross, sometimes known as The Cross, is the bustling hub of nightlife in Sydney. From fine dining to indie theatre, comedy clubs to late-night parties, Kings Cross will keep you entertained from dusk to dawn. For some more daytime fun, Milsons Point has you covered. See the Sydney Harbour Bridge from a whole new, up-close angle and marvel at the art deco North Sydney Olympic Pool that was first opened in 1936. For some old-fashioned carnival fun head to Luna Park. Heritage-listed in 2010, the park’s unmissable gates feature a huge, garish face. Walk through the gates and be transported to the 1930s. The old-fashioned, colourful carnival games and rides will have you feeling like a kid again. A range of all-day and single ride passes are available.

Sydney is a fantastic city that bursts at the seams with awesome activities and sights for you to explore!
