It is known as the most sought-after attraction in Litchfield National Park. A much-loved natural wonder that is found 150 kilometres south of the hustle and bustle of Darwin.

Around the falls, there is plenty for visitors to get stuck into, including hiking, relaxing, and wildlife spotting. Around the base, you can kick back and relax in the manicured picnic area as you watch the cascading waterfall down the rocks and splash into the refreshing plunge pool below. Swimming

What better way to cool down from the blistering heat than by dipping your toes into the cool pool base of Wangi Falls. Nearby the pool is an expansive grassy picnic area, with picnic tables, barbeques, and neighbouring camping grounds. As the falls are closed for any swimming during the tropical summer, that lasts from October to March. Hiking

There are walking tracks weaving throughout the surrounding bushland of the falls. Carving paths around ancient trees and rare native plants. The Wangi Falls Walk is by far the most popular track, being a is a two-day extravaganza amidst the lush greenery. It is an extensive path stretching out 18.5 kilometres through the bush, set along the Tabletop Track. Along the way, visitors can marvel at the Wangi Falls, the Walter Creek, and the wildlife of the Litchfield National Park. The terrain changes from lush grassy regions, to rocky formations hikers, must scramble up. With native wildlife creating a flurry of colour, as animals jump and fly overhead you as you go.

If you are after a one-day hike around the area, opt for 1.5-kilometre walk that starts at Wangi Plunge Pool. The circuit track lets you climb to the top of the clifftop, and take in the breathtaking views of the region below, seeing both the waterfall cascading down and the rugged bushland surrounding.
